MEDICINE portal: engineering for peer review

For peer review and internal QA, the portal needs predictable navigation across organs, traits, and omics modules into result pages (e.g., GWAS summary statistics, QQ / Manhattan blocks). Chrome stays aligned with the main site’s Portals entry and sibling subsites so reviewers moving between portals keep a consistent mental model.

I helped ship site- and page-level traffic visibility so the team could see how public pages were read—where “map” means charting traffic and page-level attention around review windows. The lab exposes a visitor-stats component; a public example (PI-controlled) is:

I designed and iterated the download & access system: under security and privacy constraints, manage availability and access control for research artifacts (e.g., summary statistics) so review and collaboration happen within agreed boundaries, consistent with what result pages show.
